Yard Volunteer

To assist the yard staff in the care and welfare of our donkeys, ponies and mule.

An interest and passion for donkey welfare is required. Ideally you need to commit to a regular day and time. Shifts are 8am to 12.30pm or 1pm to 4.30pm.

You will need to complete our donkey awareness and handling course. You will work as part of a team with set tasks. You need to be fit as our site is 55 acres.

Duties could include but not be restricted to, assisting with hygiene routines of fields and barns, removing ragwort from our fields, cleaning field shelters, laying new bedding, distributing hay and haylage to fields, cleaning water dispensers and assisting staff where required with day to day routines.

Skills

You need to have a passion for equines.

You need to be fit.

You will be working outside is all weathers.

You need to be able to work within a team environment with set tasks.

You need to be practical.
