The Ventnor & District Local History Society (“the Society”) is looking for a Monthly Meetings and Speaker Co-ordinator.
As a registered charity, the Society is involved in community events, providing talks and slide shows on local history, and local heritage walks.
The Monthly Meeting and Speaker co-ordinator arranges the monthly meetings for the members of the Society. They will need to find suitable speakers, liaising with the Secretary to ensure a continuation of a programme of speakers for talks throughout the year. There are 10 talks a year (not December or August).
This individual would need good communication skills and ideally be able to attend meetings on the last Friday of each month in Ventnor, 7-9 pm although not essential.
