Become a Collection Can Coordinator and Make a Real Difference

Every year, around 20,000 people are diagnosed with cancer in the Wessex region.

A diagnosis can be overwhelming and affect the whole family. Wessex Cancer Support provides free, local emotional and well-being support for anyone affected by cancer, for as long as they need it.

Our local Cancer Support Centre is based on Lugley Street in Newport.

We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to help manage our collection cans across the Island. These cans provide essential income that enables us to support local people affected by cancer.

As a Collection Can Coordinator, you’ll look after the cans in your area and build positive relationships with the shops, cafés, workplaces, and community venues that host them.

Could you take responsibility for an area of the Island and help keep this vital fundraising going?

What you’ll do:

· Place new collection cans in local businesses and community venues

· Collect, replace, and record cans in your allocated area

· Build and maintain relationships with supporters who host the cans

· Represent the charity within your local community
