Making a difference in changing times
Have you ever thought about becoming a charity trustee?
After the pandemic and with the cost of living crisis, charities are more in demand than ever and face some huge challenges.
You could make a really postive impact by offering your skills and time to one of our local charities.
Trustees are ultimately responsible for seeing their charities through difficulties and in some cases making tough decisions about the charity’s future. It’s a significant responsibility, a real public service, and the majority are volunteers.
Usually their work goes unsung – Trustees week is a chance to sing their praises, It is also a chance to encourage more people to think about being a trustee.
What’s in it for me?
- a sense of personal purpose and fulfilment
- acquisition of leadership skills
- strategic understanding
- experience of making decisions on finance, fundraising, governance, communications
- huge sense of pride
- much more
