SWAY is looking for a practical, reliable volunteer to help maintain The Hub, our community centre in Chale Green, Isle of Wight.
The Hub serves local children, young people, families and the wider community.
Working alongside our friendly team, you will help keep the building safe, well-maintained and running smoothly. Responsibilities will include carrying out basic repairs, identifying maintenance needs, helping with routine health and safety inspections and compliance checks, keeping track of servicing and maintenance schedules, and liaising with contractors where necessary.
This is a flexible volunteering opportunity of approximately four hours per week, based at The Hub in Chale Green. Reasonable expenses can be reimbursed by prior agreement.
The role is unpaid but offers the opportunity to use your practical skills to make a real difference to your local community and to be part of a welcoming team.
You do not need to be a practising Christian, but you should be sympathetic to SWAY's Christian ethos and values.
All volunteering roles are subject to a minimum Basic DBS check.
