As a Reception Volunteer, you'll be the first point of contact for visitors, helping to create a warm, friendly, and welcoming environment while supporting the day-to-day running of reception.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist visitors, providing information and directing them to the appropriate area.
- Arrange guided tours when requested and ensure reception remains attended.
- Answer telephone calls promptly, take messages, and direct enquiries appropriately. Record visitor numbers, telephone calls, and messages accurately.
- Assist with booking enquiries and pass information to the appropriate staff member.
- Distribute post and provide administrative support as required.
- Support special events and other reception-related activities.
- Carry out other reasonable duties to help the smooth running of the organisation.
Skills
- Friendly, welcoming, and approachable.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organised with attention to detail.
- Comfortable answering telephone and face-to-face enquiries.
- Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic Administrative skills are desirable but not essential.
