Are you passionate about Criminal Justice, fairness, and reintegration? Do you believe in the power of rehabilitation and want to contribute to reducing sexual harm? If so, we have an incredible opportunity for you! Circles South East, an award-winning charity, is dedicated to making a lasting impact on our society. We are on a mission to achieve 'No more victims' by supporting individuals who have committed sexual offences, helping them access their better, stronger selves, and reducing sexually harmful behaviours.
We're currently searching for volunteers in your area. By becoming part of our amazing team, you will play a vital role in forming a 'Circle of Support and Accountability' around an individual who has been convicted of sexual harm. This is achieved by Participating in regular Circle meetings with 3-4 other volunteers, to provide support and guidance to the Core Member.
What's in it for you?
Extensive Training: Gain valuable knowledge and skills through our 16-hour training program. We'll equip you with the tools necessary to make a real difference in people's lives.
Ongoing Support: You won't be alone on this journey. We provide continuous supervision, ensuring you feel confident and supported every step of the way.
Flexible Commitment: Volunteering typically involves one session at 2-3 hours per week, including travel. We understand that your time is valuable, and we will do our best to work with your schedule to make it convenient for you.
Fulfilment and Impact: By actively contributing to the rehabilitation and reintegration process, you'll directly reduce the impact of sexually harmful behaviours on potential victims. Your efforts will create a safer and more compassionate community.
Are you ready to make a difference?
To be a Circles South East volunteer, you need to be 18 or over and committed to a minimum of 1 year to 18 months. A DBS Check is required, but don't worry if you don't have one. Circles will cover the cost of a new application for you. Volunteers with a criminal record may apply to volunteer, however depending on the extent and type of offending, more senior approval may be required before being accepted as a volunteer.
Circles South East is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion within both its volunteer workforce, trustees, staff and service users and we encourage applications from individuals from all backgrounds.
