Administrative duties to include supporting the Chair with emails, general branch admin and booking of future activities when required.
The Branch Secretary role is important to the running of the branch as they act as a coordinator and communicator for the branch. Without these roles, we would not have as many branches as we do.
What you will be doing:
- Liaising with the Branch Chair to monitor the branch email.
- Checking through e-bulletins and newsletters received.
- Circulating information of interest to the mailing list and working with the Chair to ensure this information is put on the website and/or newsletter
- Taking and writing committee meeting minutes.
Skills
- Can write clearly and accurately.
- Confident in communicating with individuals or organisations by phone or email.
- Confident in editing information to a suitable format which is clear and concise.
- Computer-literate: a working knowledge of Word and a web browser, and ideally, familiarity with Excel and Outlook.

Availability Details
The role will be based within Isle of Wight and can be a few hours a week (dependant on if there are emails or activities to respond/ organise). Home based (plus travel to branch meetings) Flexible time as required to deal with emails from the community and members of the branch.
