
Bodster CIC run a Volunteering Session on a Friday afternoon from 2pm until 3pm ( 1 hr) for people to come and do some volunteering and also learn and develop their land based skills – looking after the land at Bodster CIC – completing tasks such as :- pulling ragwort, moving fencing, collecting field droppings and also spend time in our calm space being in nature and watching the ponies at Bodster CIC. We are at present completing jobs such as :- moving wood to re-build our Field shelter, sort land to create more grazing for our herd and develop our Sensory spaces.
About Organisation
We run sessions for people aged from 4 yrs to 100 yrs for people to interact with our ponies on the ground ( No riding involved) using Natural Horsemanship skills to set small targets to achieve in life, develop seff- confidence and self – esteem and regain direction in life.
Skills
Ability to learn new skills and/or have skills – physical work/ team work
Ability to walk distances as we are 8 acres and willingness to be in a small group of people who may lack self-confidence. Willing to be taught new skills
