Group hosts needed for online social group for Trans+ Charity

Are you a passionate supporter of the trans+ community? Whether you’re trans+ or cis, part of the queer community or a straight ally, Beyond Reflections would love to have you join our team of dedicated volunteers.

As a volunteer host, your role will be to help create a supportive and enjoyable space where our members can chat informally and gain confidence socializing as their authentic selves. Working with another support volunteer, you will create a warm and inclusive environment where members feel comfortable and valued. You will help facilitate positive social interactions, managing group dynamics, showing patience and empathy in working with diverse individuals and personalities.

This is a remote opportunity, that will require you to be available specific times during the weekday evening, totalling to two hours a fortnight, or four hours a month, when groups are being ran. Specific times and dates will be discussed with you during the onboarding process.

Skills

This role requires empathy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a nurturing atmosphere. You will also use O365 for basic admin.

In return, we offer training on Trans+ Awareness, Support Skills Training, Development Days and Volunteer Socials
