Gardening with Phoenix Project

There is an exciting opportunity to get involved with an Island based Charity supporting Adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism.

The service is based in 2 locations; the main day centre is in Ryde in a fully accessible building in large grounds, there is also a dedicated Woodwork unit, Wood ‘n’ Things which is located in Newport. At the Phoenix Project, individuals supported by staff and volunteers are able to develop and learn new skills, maintain friendships, gain independence and contribute to their community.

We are looking for trustees with a wide range of backgrounds, who have an interest in helping to develop and guide the direction of the organisation as well as ensuring its continued success.

The Phoenix Project’s board of trustees all bring different skills and attributes to the organisation. The Trustees are responsible for the governance of the Phoenix Project, making sure that we spend our money correctly, and ensuring that the service is a safe, person centred and progressive environment.
