Volunteer Cat Fosterer

Thinking of taking on a new volunteering role for 2022 then why not join our fostering team helping cats and kittens.

At Cats Protection Isle of Wight, we always have cats and kittens needing a little extra help and loving care until they find their forever families.

These may include kittens that need socialising, or cats that are very shy and need help to regain trust in humans; others may be recovering from illness or an operation and simply need a quiet warm place to recuperate.

Most of our volunteer fosterers care for one or two cats at a time (no garden needed), which makes a huge difference and gives these cats a second chance at a happy life.

All food and supplies are provided - and Cats Protection pay all vet’s bills.

Our friendly fostering team of staff and volunteers is always on hand to give you all the advice and support you need.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A love of cats :-)

  • A spare room in your house if you have other pets (no garden needed)
  • Whole house fostering (for specific cats if no other pets)

What happens next...

If this role interests you then please register your interest and we will send you a form to fill in.

We will ring you for a friendly chat and then invite you up to the centre to meet our cat loving team.

Chat to Emma, our Volunteer Team Leader over a cuppa about the role, meet some of our furry residents and meet other volunteers with the same love of cats.

We look forward to meeting you.
