Sandown Carnival is a non-profit community group which has organised carnival events in the seaside town since 1889, and Sandown Bay Regatta since 2022. The organisation is run entirely by volunteers and role of treasurer involves being an officer of the Association and a member of the management committee which normally meets monthly.
The role is suitable for a part-time volunteer working largely from home and will entail being a named user of Sandown Carnival's bank account based at your home address.

Skills
- Book-keeping experience and familiarity with online banking and computer spreadsheets (eg Excel) are essential.
- People skills and previous experience of working for or with community organisations would be very helpful.
- As a member of the committee, the treasurer would also usually play a part in the running of some of our events.

Availability Details
Our present treasurer is standing down and a handover period is anticipated once an appointment has been made. Officers of the Association and members of the committee are elected for one year at the Association's AGM and can be re-elected. Co-options to the committee can also be made as set out in the organisation's constitution which can be found at www.sandowncarnival.com/documents
