We are looking for someone to be our treasurer or book keeper, as our current treasurer would like to step down. We hope to find someone who is willing to help us keep our books in order so that if we apply for grant funding we can show we have sound financial practices in place.
We don't have that many transactions each month so it wouldn't be a very onerous job, but this might increase if we do successfully apply for a small grant.
Currently, we do not use online banking and this is one of the things we would like to put in place as soon as possible.
The Island Storytellers is a group that promotes oral storytelling for both adults and children.

- we organise storytelling workshops for our group and for the general public,
- we put on a storytelling performance for Ventnor Fringe
- we run the Somewhen Storytelling tent at chale Show
- we take part in other community events

Availability Details
Most of the book keeping and paying or raising invoices can be done at any convenient time. Whilst it would be great if the treasurer/book keeper was interested in storytelling, it is not essential. We would like them to attend at least one or two meetings a year, including the AGM, so that they can meet the other members of the group and understand what events we are involved with. They would need to liaise closely with one or two members of the organising group to identify and pay financial transactions.
