We're looking to start a new group so apply now to join with others and help raise awareness and funds, as well as campaigning, conservation and enjoying wildlife.
Why we want you
Our RSPB Local Groups are made up of amazing people from local communities who are passionate about saving nature. Local Group volunteers lead a range of activities from outdoor walks and indoor talks, to fun community or fundraising events plus campaigning to help inspire, educate and mobilise more people to connect to and save their local wildlife and nature in the UK.
There are over 160 groups operating across the UK with a variety of skills and expertise that are always looking for someone new to join their mission!
We need an enthusiastic and conscientious individual to be responsible for managing the charities money and the local groups funds.
This is a great role if you want to volunteer from home and have flexibility in your time commitment.
What you will be doing
- Support with ad hoc tasks of running the group as needed and based on your capacity.
- Participate in decision making regarding the indoor and outdoor event programmes.
- Help the group grow and achieve its aims.
- Enthusiasm and openness to trying new things.

You would be able to claim out-of-pocket expenses from the group charity bank account.
You would have full support from a dedicated and experienced committee of volunteers, as well as support from RSPB staff in the Country and the Volunteering Development Department at HQ.
