We are looking for someone with skills and experience in charity governance who is able to prepare the society for the future and to work closely with our management team.

The Chair of Trustees is a key role in our organisation. Your leadership and commitment will ensure that our Society remains relevant for the future needs of our community.

The Abbeyfield Ryde Society have over 50 years’ experience as one of the Isle of Wight's leading providers of sheltered independent housing, The Society is a Registered Charity run by a Board of professional volunteers. We pride ourselves on providing secure, relaxed and homely environments within our two homes. We are one of the few societies who have live-in House Managers, combined with an out of hours system for our residents should they feel unwell.

Volunteers play an important role within our society and we have a diverse, hardworking board of trustees who guide and support our House Managers to provide excellent services to our residents

Availability Details

Estimate of time needed is 1 to 3 hours per week, the majority of this will be during office house. Attendance at bi-monthly board meeting is also required.
