Interviewers, researchers, event assistants, content creators, ambassadors and anyone interested in LGBTQ+ heritage and history of all ages

Volunteers to support this LGBTQ project which is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. We have roles for project ambassadors who could help us spread the word about the project, researchers or historians. We need volunteers to help us make a short film, to help put together our book and to work as stewards at our exhibition in February.     

Out On An Island project run by StoneCrabs Theatre and Arts Charity.

StoneCrabs is based in London and the Isle of Wight. It runs theatre productions, community projects which celebrate cultural diversity and development projects and training programmes.

The project has recorded 20 oral histories from LGBTQ people with Isle of Wight connections and will publish those and research findings in a book, a short film and an exhibition.


Various – we welcome anyone who has an interest in the project and can we hope to be able to find roles for everyone.
