Independent Arts is a registered charity (no. 297474) which aims to change lives through arts. Established in 1987, operating solely on the Isle of Wight, we aim to provide a wide range of arts-based activity to the lonely, the vulnerable and the most isolated – of any age from age 5 to 105, in a variety of settings.
We employ a small staff team and engage arts practitioners from all genres as experts in their field, to deliver excellent quality activities. Essential to everything we do are volunteers. See below how you may be able to help deliver our mission.
The Independent Arts office is part of the Creative Hub. Our team works out of the office and remotely so the office space is a series of hot desks.
Office volunteers will help support the administration of the charity. The role will include data input for our CRM database, filing and organising files of digital photographs for our project archives, scanning images, printing and copying.
The role will also require data input, contacting participants by telephone, making posters and flyers and creating mailing lists.
More practical tasks such as making up mail drop packs, traditional filing and stock taking may also be included in this role.
We are looking for people who:
• Have a friendly, welcoming and approachable manner - in person and on the telephone
• Have an interest or experience in working in an administration role
• Are confident talking about the work of Independent Arts
• Can work effectively in a team
• Have an understanding of Microsoft office suit
• Want to make a difference in their community
• Have a good eye for detail
No additional details recorded for this opportunity.
